What is lead velocity rate?
Lead velocity rate measures the percentage change in qualified lead volume from one month to the next.
How to use this tool
Lead velocity = (current month’s qualified leads − previous month’s qualified leads) ÷ previous month’s qualified leads × 100. Keep the qualification criteria unchanged.
Example
Growing from 200 to 250 qualified leads gives a lead velocity rate of 25%. Falling from 200 to 150 gives −25%.
Understanding your result
The previous month must have more than zero leads. Seasonality and changing qualification rules can distort comparisons, and more qualified leads do not guarantee more closed sales.
