What is net profit margin?
Net profit margin measures how much of each revenue dollar remains as net income after the expenses included in that income figure.
How to use this tool
Net profit margin = net income ÷ revenue × 100. Enter net income and positive revenue for the same period and accounting basis.
Example
$15,000 net income on $100,000 revenue gives a 15% margin: $0.15 of net income per revenue dollar.
