How does the cash flow calculator work?
Organize cash received and cash paid during a period to estimate the change in cash and the ending cash balance.
How to use this tool
Enter beginning cash, then cash inflows and outflows in the listed categories. Net cash flow = total inflows − total outflows. Ending cash = beginning cash + net cash flow. Enter outflows as positive amounts so they are subtracted once.
Example
$10,000 beginning cash plus $8,000 received and $6,000 paid leaves $12,000 ending cash and $2,000 net cash flow.
Understanding your result
Use actual cash movement for the same period, not unpaid invoices or noncash depreciation. Avoid double-counting transfers between your own accounts. Financing inflows can increase cash without increasing operating profit.
